Mary Lindenstein Walshok, Ph.D., Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Extension Division of the University of California, San Diego addressed over 300 investors in the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development and community leaders about workforce development and its importance to Economic Development efforts at the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development’s Annual Breakfast this morning.

Lindenstein Walshok was keynote for the Partnership’s Annual Breakfast at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel Thursday. Walshok is an author, educator and thought leader on aligning workforce development with regional economic growth. With over three decades of experience, she acts as a catalyst in building regional collaborations focused on high-tech cluster development (UCSD CONNECT) and cross-border synergies (the San Diego Dialogue) based on San Diego’s proximity to Mexico.

Mark Hesser was presented an award for his long-standing dedication and participation in Lincoln’s economic development efforts. Involved in many areas, Hesser served as the President of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development board in 2009-2010.
