Lincoln Running Co.’s Noah Rasmussen Earns Distinguished Achievement Award

Lincoln Running Co. (www.lincrunningcompany.com) is pleased to announce that their own full-time employee of over three years, Noah Rasmussen, was awarded the Lincoln Track Club’s (LTC) Distinguished Achievement Award for 2021. Brian Wandzilak, a member of Lincoln Track Club and Lincoln Racing Company Nebraska (LRC Nebraska), personally presented Noah with the award and shared a few kind words on his behalf.

“Noah’s running trajectory has been a dedicated process,” said Brian. “If you look at his prep career at Millard South, it was solid but not spectacular. A few state medals in track and cross country, and some really good personal records that anyone would be proud of. However, in the last four years, Noah has quietly become one of the region’s top distance runners. In 2021, as races began to have normal starting lines again, Noah was ready. Ripping off efforts from a 4:00 time trial mile to a 14:20/4:20 double with a 5k in Ames and the Lincoln Mile 12 hours later, to joining the ranks of Lincoln’s greatest runners with a 24:44 at the Buffalo Run. This got him on the top 10 all-time list, the first such mark in quite a while at that venerable event.”

The Lincoln Running Co. is a proud sponsor of both LTC and LRC Nebraska, and has been locally owned and operated by the Rogers family since 1976. Their mission is to help people in Lincoln find the right shoes and gear to keep them active, whether that be running, walking, or moving in any capacity.
