Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is seeking donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring event. Souper Bowl of Caring is an annual event that encourages people to give locally and make a collective impact on hunger.

On Sunday, February 12, people will come together to celebrate the biggest football game of the year with food and fun. What if everyone watching the BIG GAME donated just one dollar or one can of food to help their neighbors in need? That would provide millions of meals from just one event! In the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, individuals and groups throughout the nation will be collecting donations to end hunger relief in their communities.

Last year thousands of individuals and groups from communities in all fifty states participated, including Lincoln! During last year’s event, many local schools, churches, businesses, and passionate individuals collected donations for Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach.

Participation is easy. All you need to do is register your team at www.mtko.org/events and begin collecting donations. This year, Matt Talbot requests non-perishable food items, including macaroni and cheese, canned meats, pasta and pasta sauce, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, canned beans, soup, and boxed meals. Creating a donation contest at your business will make it even more fun!
