Mosaic Names Nic Batterton as Executive Director for Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska

Mosaic (www.mosaicinfo.org), a national nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), has named Nic Batterton executive director for Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska, based in Lincoln, in addition to his role as executive director of Mosaic in Omaha.

The Southeast Nebraska and Omaha agencies will remain separate, autonomous agencies directly managed by Associate Director Malindi Gabelhouse for Southeast Nebraska and Associate Director Tyler Andersen in Omaha.

Batterton’s increased responsibilities will include regional strategic planning for both areas to serve more people, building a sustainable fundraising presence in Lincoln, and connecting Mosaic to the community for support and greater awareness of its mission to “relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people.”

According to Jen Zajicek, Mosaic’s interim vice president of operations for Nebraska, “Nic has been with Mosaic for four years and has proven to be a thought-leader within our organization. His appointment positions us to continue being in front of the constantly evolving needs in whole-person healthcare while meeting strategic goals for both agencies.”

Mosaic recognizes that people with intellectual disabilities desire and deserve greater independence and closer ties to the community. By developing and expanding community connections, they create new social, volunteer, and employment opportunities. Learn more at www.mosaicinfo.org.
