Nebraska Diaper Bank (NDB) (nebraskadiaperbank.org) has set a bold goal to increase distribution from 470,000 to 1 million diapers annually in Lincoln by the end of 2027, expanding access to an essential resource for local families.

Currently, NDB serves only 20% of Lincoln babies experiencing diaper need, leaving many families facing impossible choices between buying diapers and paying for essentials like rent, utilities or food.

NDB works to ensure every baby has access to clean diapers to stay healthy, dry and comfortable. With 1 in 3 Nebraska families struggling to afford enough diapers, the need remains urgent, especially because diapers are not covered by SNAP or WIC.

Reaching this goal will take all of us. Through continued community support, expanded local partnerships and shared generosity, Lincoln can help ensure more babies have the clean diapers they need to thrive.

Nebraska Diaper Bank distributes 300,000 diapers each month to more than 5,000 children, including approximately 650 in the Lincoln area. The diaper bank model also connects families with additional services such as healthcare, basic needs, and case management.
