A Warmer Day and Lincoln Homeless Coalition Distribute First Coats of the Season
With winter right around the corner, A Warmer Day (awarmerday.org ) was happy to distribute the first coats of the season to children and families in need. On September 21, A Warmer Day partnered with the Lincoln Homeless Coalition to hand out coats and winter apparel downtown. A special thanks also goes to Jennifer Rasmussen and the team at CIP Apartments & Town Homes for their help in these efforts. The distribution proved successful as A Warmer Day was able to provide families with the resources they need to stay warm for the brutal cold that’s quickly approaching.
A Warmer Day is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing underprivileged Nebraskans with coats, gloves, mittens, and scarves. To do that, they collect winter gear, clean it, and then go out and distribute them regularly during the winter season. They start their distribution season in the fall to guarantee themselves time to help as many children and families as possible.
The easiest way to support A Warmer Day and their mission is through a monthly membership. For only $10 dollars a month, you can help protect children and families in need from the cold, and because of A Warmer Day’s commitment to transparency, you can know for certain that every penny goes towards the mission to help those in need.
