A Warmer Day Partners with Visionary Youth to Distribute Coats and Winter Apparel
A Warmer Day (www.awarmerday.org), in partnership with Visionary Youth, recently distributed more than 550 coats and thousands of other pieces of winter weather apparel. The distribution event took place at The Malone Center in Lincoln on November 22. Thousands of families lined up to receive warm winter clothing as well as a Thanksgiving meal provided by Visionary Youth. The event was also sponsored by BB Roofing and CIP Apartments & Town Homes.
“Zero tax dollars and zero payroll dollars, but over 1,000 pieces of winter apparel distributed to over 500 families in need. That is what A Warmer Day is about…caring volunteers coming together and working hard to do amazing things,” said volunteer Executive Director Marilyn Ferguson, who worked tirelessly to make this event possible.
A Warmer Day is an all-volunteer Nebraska charity whose mission is to provide coats and winter weather apparel to those in need.
