Since opening in October 2025, Aging Ally (agingally.org) has helped Nebraska adults and families make sense of complicated healthcare and long-term-care decisions. Founded by Executive Director and registered nurse Brenda Soto, Aging Ally is an independent, RN-led nonprofit providing personalized advocacy, education, care planning and navigation. Because Aging Ally is independent, its guidance is centered on each client’s needs, values and goals rather than a particular healthcare provider, insurance company or care facility.
As Aging Ally enters its second year, the nonprofit is reaffirming that its services are not limited to older adults. Aging Ally supports adults of all ages who need clarity, time and a knowledgeable guide when the healthcare system feels confusing or important decisions must be made quickly.
“Aging Ally was created because individuals and families deserve the time and support to make thoughtful, informed healthcare decisions without feeling rushed or alone,” Soto said.
During its second year, Aging Ally plans to expand its care-planning resources, strengthen relationships with community referral partners and continue providing compassionate, faith-rooted guidance.
