Disrupting Traffick joins the Lincoln Community Foundation for Lincoln’s One Big Day of Giving. The 15th Give to Lincoln Day is here! This annual giving event benefiting participating local nonprofits kicks off May 1 and builds up to Lincoln’s One Big Day of Giving on Thursday, May 28.

Disrupting Traffick has been a previous participant in this annual event and is grateful for Give to Lincoln Day donations that help prevent sexual exploitation through community education, outreach, and practical support. Their resource center, located at 1625 N Street, serves as a critical entry point for women and youth facing vulnerability. Disrupting Traffick operates from a simple but powerful belief: traffickers exploit unmet needs, and when those needs are met, prevention begins.

By donating to Disrupting Traffick through Give to Lincoln Day, community members receive tangible resources—such as food, clothing, and hygiene items—freely and without expectation. Disrupting Traffick is also able to provide short-term emergency housing through its safe house.

For many, this is the first experience of receiving help without strings attached. Beyond crisis response, Disrupting Traffick offers long-term advocacy and mentorship, fostering healthy relationships that empower survivors to rebuild lives marked by dignity, freedom, and hope.

Through dignity-centered care and early intervention, Disrupting Traffick works to disrupt cycles of exploitation before they take hold. Through their partnership with the Lincoln Community Foundation, Disrupting Traffick is able to bring awareness to a need our community faces.
