Lincoln Kids Against Hunger is pleased to announce that Dr. Tom Osborne has joined their Board of Directors as an Advisory Member.

Lincoln Kids Against Hunger is a non-profit organization utilizing local volunteers ages 5+ to assemble nutritious food packets.  Their goal is to reduce hunger locally and starvation globally.  Since their inception on September 17, 2006, Lincoln Kids Against Hunger has prepared and distributed almost 5 million scientifically-formulated food packets.  Another way Lincoln Kids Against Hunger partners within the community is to provide food in Lincoln, working with The Center For People In Need and lower-income elementary schools.

To raise additional money to meet their goal of packing and shipping 4 million food packets (24 million meals) next year, they are launching a program called Shop To Support which provides supporters (including volunteers and local businesses) an easy way to help them financially by simply purchasing gift certificates from local merchants. Merchants who wish to participate in the program decide the dollar amount and quantity of gift certificates they will offer each month on our special site.  They determine the percentage of the certificate to be contributed to Kids Against Hunger.

If you are a merchant, you can help them feed more hungry children and learn how to participate in Lincoln Kids Against Hunger’s Shop To Support at www.kahlincoln.org or speak with Dee Dee Neil, Executive Director at (402) 770-4532.
