DSAF Thanks Supporters for Making 2020 World Down Syndrome Day a Virtual Success
The Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF) (dsafnebraska.org) would like to thank their sponsors and all who logged on to this year’s virtual World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) celebration for making the event such a success! Because of the quick-thinking of DSAF Program Director Dawna Daily and Marketing and Development Director Mary Sweeney, the virtual celebration included story times, a Netflix movie party, sing-alongs, Miss Amazing, Allison Bruckner’s “Don’t Limit Me” speech, a silent auction, a Facebook Live dance party, and much more. The DSAF was also featured on two radio stations, 102.7 FM and Froggy 98.1. You could see the happiness happening in real time through everyone’s WDSD shout outs and well-wishes from all across the country!
The DSAF reported the success of the week:
- Number of times DSAF content was visible on social media — 27,729
- Total people exposed to DSAF content — 7,925
- Engaged DSAF Facebook followers — 876
- Posts with #DSAFRocks — 155
- Funds raised — $3,555
