Eventide Senior Living Communities and Tabitha Senior Care (tabitha.org) have announced plans to combine under an affiliation agreement. The affiliation is expected to become effective October 1, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the final agreement.

“We are excited to welcome Tabitha to the Eventide family. This strategic decision underscores our shared commitment to advancing senior care,” said Jon Riewer, President and CEO of Eventide. “Eventide and Tabitha are both non-profit, faith-based organizations, sharing similar missions and values. By combining our strengths and resources, we will create a stronger, more resilient organization focused on delivering high-quality care and enriching the lives of seniors.”

Brian P. Shanks, President and CEO of Tabitha, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Together, we will leverage our combined expertise to navigate industry challenges and enhance the services we offer.” Through this partnership, Eventide will assume the role of the parent company. There will be no disruptions of services or care at Eventide or Tabitha.

“We look forward to the opportunities this partnership presents for our residents, clients, families, and staff,” added Riewer. “This integration will enable us to expand our reach and uphold our commitment to excellence in senior services.”

Combined, Eventide and Tabitha serve approximately 2,300 seniors daily, employ 2,200 and have a legacy of over 200 years of service. Both organizations share a philosophy of compassion and commitment to empower older adults, families and employees to thrive. In a time when dynamics in senior services are changing rapidly, provider organizations must adapt and evolve to ensure the best for those served. This partnership is a step toward a future where their impact will be better together.
