The Fallbrook YMCA (YMCALincoln.org) will be hosting its seventh Annual Youth Triathlon on Monday, September 4, in support of the YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign – Strong Kids. The Youth Triathlon route will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at the Fallbrook YMCA with the race throughout the Fallbrook neighborhood. The race consists of a swim, bike and run with designated distances based on age – open to kids ages five and up. All skill levels are encouraged to participate in this fun, untimed event. Registration is $25 per participant and will include a t-shirt for all those registered prior to August 16.
“This event is a great way to give kids a taste of the triathlon setting in a fun and non-competitive environment,” commented Kelly Fink, associate executive director for the Fallbrook YMCA. “It’s a great opportunity to promote fitness and activity while also giving back to a great cause.”
All proceeds from the event will go to the YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign – Strong Kids, which ensures financial limitations are not a barrier for children and families wanting to participate in critical YMCA programs.
