With many parents being overwhelmed about suddenly having children being home around the clock, Families Inspiring Families (familiesinspiringfamilies.org) amped up the amount of support they offer, with family support peer specialists working closely to provide structure, weekly check-ins, and schoolwork support. Their services provide the necessary guidance and navigation to encourage smooth transitions throughout the major life changes COVID-19 created.

Families Inspiring Families feels lucky that they have been able to continue relatively normal operations serving families through the pandemic. In the last 12 months, they have offered hope and services to over 200 families. Their services allow families to have a voice in working through tough situations with children with emotional or behavioral issues. Families Inspiring Families can assist families in accessing community resources in location mental health services, work with school officials to meet the educational needs of youth, and to support caregivers during this difficult time.
