Float 4 Life Offers Variety of Lesson Plans this Spring to Keep Young Kids Safe in Water
Float 4 Life (www.float4life.org) is providing a variety of float lesson plans to help keep young kids safe around water this spring. They have packages to fit a variety of needs and budgets so all families can make water safety a priority. Every day, approximately 10 people die from unintentional drowning. Of these, two are children age 14 or younger. Whether you’re a parent with a backyard pool or an adult who enjoys a day at the beach, drowning prevention and water safety education should always be a priority. Through Float 4 Life’s private lessons, children will learn the fundamentals of back floating and water safety survival skills.
Float 4 Life is a part of the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation. Float 4 Life’s swim center and training facility was recently opened near 14th and Yankee Hill Rd. They are excited to be able to host various inspirational and educational events at their new facility, along with infant and toddler water training. The center serves as the national training facility for instructors who want to learn water safety and floating techniques. Float 4 Life Instructors are trained to teach children as young as six months old how to recover to a back float if they were in a water emergency.
