Friendship Home Celebrates 10-Year Partnership with Allstate Foundation

Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) is celebrating its 10th year of a partnership with the Allstate Foundation. Allstate’s Purple Purse foundation is dedicated to helping victims reach financial independence and break free from domestic violence. They do this through supporting domestic violence organizations around the country through grants and scholarships.

Since the first grant, awarded in 2009, Friendship Home advocates have received training from Allstate experts at national conferences. These conference trainings are funded by Allstate and they increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the attendees.

With Allstate’s help, Friendship Home has been able to offer educational resources to help teach financial independence. Their support comes with a powerful tool: Moving Ahead Through Financial Management. The Moving Ahead curriculum was specifically designed to address the real-life financial issues that victims face after leaving an abusive partner.

Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, contact Rainey at (402) 437-9367 / raineyh@friendshiphome.org.
