Good Life Halfsy to Benefit Habitat for Humanity and People’s City Mission

Habitat for Humanity and the People’s City Mission are the two charities chosen to benefit from the 2019 Good Life Halfsy (www.goodlifehalfsy.com), which will take place on November 3. When registering for the race, runners are able to choose if they want to “Run for Charity” in which they commit to raising a minimum of $500 for either Habitat for Humanity or People’s City Mission.

Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (lincolnhabitat.org) is dedicated to offering dignity and hope by forming partnerships with low-income families and providing affordable, safe homes. In its 30-year history, Habitat for Humanity has built or repaired more than 162 local homes, housing more than 750 men, women and children.

Since 1907, the People’s City Mission (pcmlincoln.org) has been where all of Lincoln’s less fortunate could find shelter and a warm meal. The organization has grown in the past 110 years to be Lincoln’s safety net for the community supported by the community.

Both organizations are looking for volunteers to help pass out shirts, medals, water, and heat blankets to the runners at the finish line; set up and assist at their expo booth at the Embassy Suites the day before the race; and more. These Good Life Halfsy volunteer positions are for volunteers or groups associated with Lincoln Habitat for Humanity or People’s City Mission. Sign up for shifts on EventBrite.
