Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. (lincolngoodwill.org) has been informed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF) that it has earned accreditation for a period of three years for its Retail Organizational Employment (ROE) program. This outcome is the highest possible level of accreditation and is awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF.

Among its areas of strength, Goodwill received high praise from CARF surveyors for its welcoming atmosphere, mission-driven team and genuine respect for program participants.

“Current participants, previous participants, and partner agencies spoke highly of the assistance received,” the report said. “One participant stated she wished she had found employment sooner because her co-workers have become her second family.”

In the CARF exit meeting, one surveyor said that she would feel comfortable sending a friend or relative to receive services from Goodwill. She also said that she would feel welcomed and want to work for Goodwill herself.

Goodwill uses revenue generated by its retail stores to enhance its employment services and programs and meet the needs of job seekers in the community. An organization receiving a three-year CARF accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.

The latest action marks the 11th consecutive three-year accreditation outcome awarded to Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. by CARF, an international accrediting body. Learn more at lincolngoodwill.org.
