Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska is encouraging students to give back during move-out season by participating in its Campus Move-Out Donation Drive, taking place now through May 11.

Students moving out of residence halls at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Concordia University and Nebraska Wesleyan University can conveniently donate gently used items they no longer need at designated collection sites located inside their residence halls. Accepted donations include clothing, books, small electronics, and household goods.

This initiative not only helps reduce waste during the busy move-out period but also supports Goodwill’s mission of funding employment services and community-based programs across Southeast Nebraska. Donated items are resold in local Goodwill stores, with proceeds directly supporting job training, career services, and opportunities for individuals in the region.

At this time, Goodwill is unable to accept certain items, including microwaves, televisions, mattress toppers, and rugs. A full list of accepted and non-accepted items can be found at lincolngoodwill.org/donate/what-to-donate.

Students and community members with questions can contact Goodwill by email at donate@lincolngoodwill.org or by phone at (402) 438-2022.

Goodwill encourages students to make a positive impact by donating items they no longer need and helping create a more sustainable and supportive community. Learn more at lincolngoodwill.org.
