Heartland Cancer Foundation Presents Mardi Gras Gala February 21

The Heartland Cancer Foundation (HCF); (heartlandcancerfoundation.org) will host their annual Mardi Gras Gala on Friday, February 21 at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. The gala will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 11 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a live/silent auction, ballroom dinner, dueling pianos, special guests, and other themed activities while supporting local cancer patients. HCF uses money raised from the gala and events like it to help cover the costs of housing payments, car payments, medical supplies, medical expenses, medication, and gasoline for eligible cancer patients. With 26% of cancer patients never recovering due to medical costs, HCF has taken it upon themselves to ensure no one falls behind while undergoing treatment because they struggle to afford basic necessities. They work to lighten the burden of financial stress in cancer patients in the community.
