HopeSpoke Commits to Engaging in Brave Conversations about Mental Health
With the protests against systemic racial injustice piled atop the tumult that COVID brought with it, HopeSpoke (www.hopespoke.org) is committed to engaging in brave conversations with the Lincoln community. HopeSpoke understands the importance of the difficult discussions underway, so they found ways to provide seamless resources for all individuals and families in need of mental health services. After being forced to cancel their 12th Annual Gourmet Comfort Classic fundraiser amid COVID restrictions, they were able to get set up to provide remote outpatient services using Telehealth technology within five days.
Everything happening in the world right now is taking a psychological toll on members of our community, and HopeSpoke encourages early intervention and treatment of trauma, with its services available to help anyone who needs to heal. Even though times are volatile, the HopeSpoke team knows that what people will remember most is how the Lincoln community stepped forward to offer assistance and begin taking steps toward community solutions. They have already seen a tremendous amount of support from generous donors on Give to Lincoln Day, as well as from individuals who made masks for HopeSpoke staff and clients during the shortage.
HopeSpoke’s mission is to inspire healthy futures for children and their families through provision of comprehensive behavioral and mental health services, including crisis and residential services, extended day treatment, outpatient services, and school programs.
