HopeSpoke to Offer Summer After School Treatment Program
HopeSpoke’s Extended Day Treatment Program (www.hopespoke.org) is a strengths-based program designed for children ages 5–11 with serious emotional and/or behavioral challenges who are at risk for out-of-home placement or hospitalization. The program operates daily after school and during the summer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The length of service is tailored to the child but typically ranges from 4–6 months.
Treatment options are based on needs and input from the child and family. Services focus on concerns underlying the presenting challenges, often stemming from trauma or attachment disruptions.
Children in Extended Day Treatment learn to develop genuine relationships with others, strengthen their coping and emotional regulation skills, and improve overall community functioning.
At HopeSpoke, they understand the importance of early intervention and treatment of emotional, physical, and/or environmental trauma. The idea is not only to help people engage in healthier behaviors but to help them heal from the pain, restoring hope for a better tomorrow.
If you have a child who may benefit from these services, call (402) 475-7666 or go to www.hopespoke.org for more information.
