Spring Creek Audubon Center (springcreek.audubon.org) is hosting their first exploration of the prairie in the New Year! Join them for this leisurely stroll through the winter tallgrass looking for animal tracks and chat about what birds and beasts do to survive the winter! The event takes place on Saturday, January 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Center at 11700 SW 100th St., Denton, NE. Admission is free but donations are welcome! Register now at springcreek.audubon.org/events.

The National Audubon Society protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow. The trails and grounds are open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. They encourage you to come visit their outdoor spaces and enjoy fresh air and nature — bring along your family and walk the trails. But dogs, even on leashes, are not allowed on the prairie trails. Drones are only allowed on our property as part of research activities, and flights must be approved by and scheduled with staff. Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center focuses on conservation of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem and the birds that rely on it. Learn more and support their mission at springcreek.audubon.org.
