Hudl and Nelnet both partner with TeamMates Mentoring (LincolnTeammates.org) and decided to show appreciation by hosting a TeamMates Mentor appreciation breakfast November 28.

Ben Kiser, Executive Director – Corporate Communications and Marketing, with Nelnet shared, “The breakfast served as a gesture of appreciation for our associates engaged in mentoring with TeamMates. At Nelnet, our commitment to giving back in our communities aligns with the dedication showcased by our mentors in the TeamMates program. Nelnet stands firmly behind this program, recognizing its pivotal role in empowering young individuals to embrace their strengths, nurture confidence, foster positive decision-making and envision a promising future.”

Employees at Hudl and Nelnet are allowed to stay on the clock to go visit with their mentee once a week. The breakfast celebrated some employees who’ve mentored with TeamMates for two years, five years and some over 10 years. A handful of employees signed up for the first time to become a TeamMate.

“I recently joined the board for TeamMates, so I’ve had the chance to see firsthand how impactful mentorship through the organization can be” shared David Graff, CEO and Co-Founder of Hudl. “At Hudl, we’ve been able to capitalize on our flexible work policies to make it easy to be that person. It’s awesome to see so many people on our team take advantage of this and invest their time back in the community.”
