Four Lincoln businesses, Eustis Body Shop, Morrow Collision Center, Levander’s Body Shop and Revamped Rides, are among the automotive shops participating in the Museum of American Speed’s (museumofamericanspeed.org) Small Wheels, Big Dreams campaign, a statewide fundraiser supporting the Museum’s youth education programs.
As part of the campaign, automotive shops across Nebraska are sponsoring and customizing retro 1955 Chevy pedal cars, transforming them into one-of-a-kind creations with bold paint schemes, unique details and plenty of personality.
Once completed, the custom pedal cars will be displayed at the Museum of American Speed, select Pump & Pantry locations and the Nebraska State Fair before being auctioned online in November. Proceeds will help fund the Museum’s youth education programs, inspiring the next generation of automotive enthusiasts and skilled professionals.
“This is a great way to showcase the incredible talent and creativity of Nebraska’s auto body community while supporting hands-on learning opportunities for young people,” said Tim Matthews, Curator of the Museum of American Speed.
Morrow Collision Center was the first shop to complete its pedal car. “We’re in the business of restoring more than vehicles; we’re committed to strengthening our community,” said Regina Hampton, Marketing Director at Morrow. “Supporting the Museum’s pedal car fundraiser is our way of investing in the next generation while honoring the passion and history that brought us here.”
