LUX Center for the Arts presents “Generation: Ceramic Art & the UNL Legacy 1999-2013” curated by Gail Kendall, former Hixson-Lied professor of art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which opens on March 7th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The show will feature 14 of Kendall’s former MFA students–each one a working artist in ceramics today.

The exhibition “Carnies, Comedy and Clowns” located in the Gladys M. Lux Historical Collection will be on view on the second floor of LUX Center for the Arts through May 4, 2014. This exhibit features a collection of prints depicting humorous figures and celebratory festivals by fifteen artists including Jean Charlot, Jon Steuart Curry, and Pablo Picasso. The exhibition also displays a variety of printmaking techniques–woodcuts, lithographs and an etching.
