Local engineering firm Mainelli Wagner & Associates, Inc. recently donated 2,550 pounds of food to Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (mtko.org) following its annual company-wide food drive.
“Mainelli Wagner is a long-time supporter and valued partner of Matt Talbot,” said Alynn Sampson, executive director of Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach. “This year’s food drive, fueled by teamwork and friendly competition, yielded an incredible amount of food and will make a meaningful difference for the families and individuals who visit our pantry this winter.”
Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach serves hot, nutritious meals daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Fresh Choice Pantry is open four days a week, with emergency food boxes available Monday through Friday. Last year, Matt Talbot experienced an increase in guests seeking meals and pantry support.
Businesses and organizations can support Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach by:
- Hosting a food drive for shelf-stable items such as canned meats, canned fruits, cereal, granola bars, and other ready-to-eat foods
- Organizing a winter drive for blankets, hand warmers, size L–XXL coats, waterproof gloves, and hats.
