Now through December 31, gifts to Community Action’s Gathering Place (communityactionatwork.org) soup kitchens are being matched $1 for $1 thanks to a variety of local funders. Recently, Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation contributed additional dollars to the match pool.
“We are so thankful to Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation for joining as a sponsor of this campaign,” said Heather Loughman, Community Action’s CEO. “At a time when we need community support more than ever, our match sponsors are stepping up to fight hunger in Lincoln. Thank you to our sponsors, as well as those who have already contributed to the campaign, for the tremendous support shown so far.”
Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation joins several additional sponsors including lead sponsor, Acklie Charitable Foundation; Miriam Moeller Charitable Trust; Union Bank and Trust; Bukaty Companies; INSPRO, a Marsh McLennan Agency; Sue Quambusch and others. The campaign aims to raise $200,000 total to support the Gathering Place’s work throughout the year.
