Mourning Hope Grief Center (mourninghope.org) is accepting applications to attend or volunteer at Camp Erin® Lincoln, September 22-24 at the Carol Joy Holling Center in Ashland.
Camp Erin is a free, weekend-long bereavement camp for youth ages six to 17 who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, Camp Erin combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills and make friends with peers who are also grieving. To attend camp, register by July 28 at mourninghope.org/programs/camperin.
Mourning Hope is seeking volunteers to serve as camp counselors and as support staff to assist with the diverse camp activities. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, pass a criminal background check, attend a training session and attend the pre-camp Save Your Spot event. Volunteers must commit to attending the entire Camp Erin weekend. To be part of this incredible experience, please complete a volunteer application by August 15 at mourninghope.org/programs/camperin.
Mourning Hope’s counseling, community education programs and resources are available at no cost, ensuring all bereaved Nebraskans can access compassionate care. Mourning Hope’s doors are open to you. Learn more at mourninghope.org or call (402) 488-8989.
