Mourning Hope Receives $1 Million for Make Room for HOPE Capital Campaign

The Mourning Hope Grief Center (mourninghope.org/aboutus/capitalcampaign) has received a substantial donation to its recently-announced Make Room for HOPE Capital Campaign. The largest commitment ever to the local children’s bereavement center, this lead gift of $1 million dollars will help build Lincoln’s first permanent facility dedicated to supporting families grieving the death of someone significant in their lives. The million dollar donor is a local family foundation who prefers to remain anonymous at this time.

This contribution supports 25% of the total Mourning Hope campaign goal of $4 million. Last month, it was announced that Mourning Hope will also receive a $560,000 Legacy Gift from the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln. Additional early commitments to the Make Room for HOPE Capital Campaign are currently being pursued, and will be announced in the coming months.
