Northeast Sertoma Elects New Officers

Jim Becker, co-owner of JC Company, is Northeast Sertoma Club’s (www.northeastsertoma.org) 2016-2017 president. Joining him in the club’s officer group are Harry Wimer, board chair, Donna Magwire, president elect, Suzanne Frasier, secretary and Lee Bring, treasurer. Jim thanked outgoing president Harry Wimer and board chair Sharon Cunning for leading the club’s efforts to raise significant funds through concessions at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. All of this money goes right back into the community through grants to worthy non-profit organizations. “As incoming president, I will be asking the club to consider developing a special project to which a significant portion of our earnings will be dedicated.”

LINCOLN NORTHEAST SERTOMA CLUB celebrates its 47th year of improving the quality of life for those impacted by hearing loss and supporting worthy human need causes. Members’ concession work has raised, and donated $247,000 since 2000.

The Club meets weekly from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Thursdays at the HyVee community room, 5010 “O” Street. Program speakers are public/private sector leaders making a difference in our community.
