Pay-As-You-Throw Webinar Can Help Reduce Community Waste
WasteCap Nebraska (www.wastecapne.org) is hosting a Community Roadmap webinar series with Kate Bailey to help guide communities on their path to Zero Waste. The first webinar will be held on April 13th and will address the implementation of a successful pay-as-you-throw program.
Decrease your waste by more than 40% just by changing how residents pay for trash services. A pay-as you-throw (PAYT) system charges for trash based on the amount produced, so putting out four cans of trash costs more than putting out one can. It’s more equitable, it’s effective, and it’s been successfully adopted by more than 7,000 communities in the U.S.
Kate Bailey is the Program Manager for Eco-Cycle Solutions. Kate is a leading authority on Zero Waste best practices, and focuses on the facts, numbers, details, and logistics that help Zero Waste initiatives succeed. Over the past decade she has created national reports, websites, webinars, and tools to empower local communities to implement Zero Waste solutions.
The webinar will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To register: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5486407264754657028.
