Pregnancy Center Continues Free Services Despite Canceled Fundraiser

Despite the COVID-related cancellation of its Annual Partnership Dinner fundraiser with Kevin Sorbo in April, the Pregnancy Center (www.pregnancycenterpartners.org) of Lincoln continues to safely serve at-risk women who go there experiencing an unintended pregnancy.

The Pregnancy Center depends on its only annual fundraising event to meet the annual budget, but the center continues to offer services to women and families throughout these weeks of shutdowns—with safeguards in place for staff and clients, of course.

“Our staff is taking calls, scheduling appointments, and providing care,” said Executive Director Pat McCarthy. “We believe our work is vital, and we are thankful to be able to show love and grace to women, now more than ever. We had to cancel our partnership dinner this spring—the only fundraising event we do all year—but we believe in the generosity of donors, both faithful and new, to come through.”

The Pregnancy Center is a nonprofit, faith-based organization located in the heart of Lincoln, at 111 Piazza Terrace. Every month, more than 400 young women in the community go to the Pregnancy Center, which offers comprehensive information about every option available to a woman facing an unintended pregnancy, and also provides confidential counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, materials support, parenting classes, and character-based relationship education, all at no cost to clients or taxpayers.
