Project Funway to Benefit Fresh Start, Raises Money for Homeless Women

The date of Project Funway, a unique event that showcases local designers benefiting Fresh Start (www.FreshStartHome.org), is set for Friday, November 2 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel. The theme of the runway show is transformation and designers repurpose thrift shop clothing to create a new, creative original garment.

Lauren, a local radio personality from KX 96.9 Country, will be emceeing the event. A panel of judges and event attendees will select the winners of the competition at the end of the night. Winners will go home with prizes!

In addition to the runway show, the event includes a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Event tickets are $40 each; VIP tickets are $60 and include a private reception starting at 5:30 p.m. and front row seating for the show. All proceeds will go towards Fresh Start’s mission of providing transitional shelter for women who are homeless in the community.

Sponsorship opportunities for the event are still available. Depending on level of sponsorship, sponsors will be recognized during the event, in print, and social media.
