In collaboration with the Downtown Lincoln Association, the YMCA of Lincoln (YMCALincoln.org) is excited to announce the return of the 8th Annual Railyard Rims on August 2-3. This 3-on-3 basketball tournament will once again transform the streets of the Railyard into a lively arena, where players will compete for more than just hardware.
Tournament proceeds will directly benefit the YMCA of Lincoln’s Annual Fundraising Campaign, a vital initiative that powers critical programs and activities that keep kids safe, people healthy and families strong. In 2023, the Lincoln Y provided over $750,000 in financial assistance to over 1,200 families so they could experience programs ranging from basketball and preschool to swim lessons and senior activities.
The tournament promises an unmatched experience for participants and spectators alike. On Friday night, August 2, the Adult Cup will showcase teams from varying skill levels, while the Youth Cup will take center stage on Saturday, August 3. Each team is guaranteed four games, with a maximum of 24 teams in the Adult Cup and 32 teams in the Youth Cup.
“The opportunity to host this event not only activates downtown, but it raises awareness for the Y so they can continue introducing life changing programs to youth, families, and seniors in our community,” shared Todd Ogden, president & CEO of the Downtown Lincoln Association.
Team registration is now open at RailyardRims.com.
One of Lincoln’s largest nonprofit organizations focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the YMCA of Lincoln has served the community for over 150 years—promoting positive values through programs that build spirit, mind, and body for all.
