Tom Osborne, former Head Coach of the Husker football team and Co-Founder of TeamMates (LincolnTeammates.org) enjoyed coffee and a personal tour of a popular Scooters Coffee drive thru on September 26. Giving the tour was Scooters Co-Owner Jason Metcalf. The Metcalf Family, owning and operating 18 Lincoln stores, and Manzitto Family, owning and operating two Lincoln stores, both support the Osborne-founded TeamMates Mentoring in a great way. On September 26, all 20 Lincoln Scooters locations donated 10% of their sales to Lincoln TeamMates. TeamMates would like to thank both the Metcalf and Manzitto families for their generous support.

Osborne shared appreciation and stories, highlighting the impact of mentoring to Metcalf by sharing story after story of the “ripple effect” that transforms entire families; the more mentors, the more impact. The Lincoln chapter of TeamMates aims to add 360 new mentors this school year, and Scooter’s generous donation helps the behind-the-scenes work toward reaching that goal.

Metcalf shared, “TeamMates’ values line up with Scooter’s and it’s a privilege to be able to partner and help support their mission.” Following the coffee consumption and lively conversation, Jason Metcalf concluded, “It’s a privilege to be able to support organizations that have a passion for people and their development.”
