Each year, St. Monica’s (stmonicas.com) hosts a fundraiser bringing together dedicated organizations, competitors, volunteers, friends and family members for a fast-paced scavenger hunt across Lincoln with wacky challenges at every stop. Teams must complete individual and group challenges and solve clues to find the location of the next activity. The “chase” starts well before the actual event itself. Team of four—made up of a Belly, a Brain, a Beauty and a Brawn—collect funds to support St. Monica’s programs through creative fundraising which “position” them ahead of other “chasers” for better start times.
This special event is a reminder that the road to recovery from drugs and alcohol isn’t easy or straight. There are twists, turns and even obstacles from time to time, but recover IS possible.
“St Monica’s is ‘60’ and Still Grooving” Amazing Chase will take place Saturday, August 17, and will begin near their newest facility on the VA Campus on Victory Park Dr. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the first team will take off at 9 a.m. on the dot.
