Tabitha (Tabitha.org), Nebraska’s industry-leading senior care provider, is encouraging the communities it serves to embrace a “Good Neighbor” resolution this New Year’s.

As a Lincoln-based, local nonprofit, one of Tabitha’s major philosophies is supporting older neighbors. An example of this is Tabitha Meals on Wheels, a program that delivers weekday meals, well-being checks and friendly interactions to over 300 recipients within Lincoln city limits. 81% of recipients cannot afford the total $7.50 cost of each meal, but 90% of recipients report that the delivery service keeps them independent in the comfort of their home.

Tabitha hopes to inspire Nebraskans to put older neighbors first in 2024 with gifts of time, talents and treasure.

“With each year, retiring Nebraskans’ needs are growing exponentially,” said JP Lauterbach, Director of Development, Tabitha Foundation. “Around 10,000 baby boomers are reaching retirement age in the United States every day through the year 2030, which means Tabitha is gearing up to provide award-winning and exceptional-level care to more and more seniors.”
