1,600 students in our community want and need a mentor. During 2012-2013, the TeamMates Mentoring Program of Lincoln was able to provide mentors for 1,055 students. What is the difference?

A: 545+ children in the Lincoln Public Schools are still waiting for a mentor but don’t have one.

B: 545+ new mentors in the Lincoln Community are needed.

C. Mentoring takes place in a school that is conveniently reached, one hour, once weekly during the school year.

D. All of the above

The correct answer is D!  The TeamMates Mentoring Program of Lincoln is a school-based mentoring program with the mission to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential. Mentors are volunteers from the community. They spend one hour, once a week during the school year building a relationship with a student. The objective is to encourage the child and give a sense of hope, purpose and vision. Mentors serve as a good role model and dedicate themselves making a difference in the life of a young person.

You can be the one to make the difference!
