TeamMates Participates in Spreetail’s PractiPals

Spreetail hosted over 80 area students at PractiPals, a one-day, skills-based, interactive workshop for students entering 6th through 8th grades. PractiPals was held on Saturday, July 28 at Spreetail, located on UNL’s Innovation Campus.

Students rotated through eight breakout sessions led by Spreetail employees and community leaders. Art, computer programming, fitness, civic duty, science, cooking, music, and woodworking were topics covered in the workshops.

In addition to students gaining skills, Spreetail employees experienced the energy of the middle school students they could potentially mentor through TeamMates (teammates.org). A recruiting event followed PractiPals featuring Coach Tom Osborne, who shared with Spreetail employees the impact of mentoring and our need for TeamMates in Lincoln.
