TeamMates Recognizes Strong Partnership with Southwood Lutheran Church

Southwood Lutheran Church, led by Senior Pastor Greg Olson, has been a friend and supporter of TeamMates of Lincoln (teammates.org) for over a decade. Over 30 congregants from Southwood serve as mentors to Lincoln students. Southwood’s director of missions, Nicole Mroczek, oversees efforts to recruit new TeamMates mentors from the church several times each year. Beyond Southwood Lutheran’s commitment to providing mentors, the church supports Lincoln TeamMates financially.

For the past four years, Southwood Lutheran has sponsored scholarships to be awarded annually at the TeamMates Spring Celebration. In addition, for more than 10 years, the church has contributed to TeamMates’ general operating fund which helps recruit, train, and support the mentors who serve Lincoln students. The church intentionally plans their gift to financially support all the matches represented by their congregation.
