TeamMates Strengthens Five-Year Partnership with Ameritas

TeamMates (lincolnteammates.org) Mentoring of Lincoln and Ameritas are strengthening their partnership of more than five years through recruitment events, fundraising, and promotion of volunteerism in Ameritas’s company culture. Sixty five Ameritas employees are currently serving as TeamMates mentors, representing the most volunteer mentors from any other business in Lincoln. Ameritas provides every employee up to eight hours each month during work hours to volunteer with the community projects that are most important to them. Its mission is to fulfill lives, not only through the business that they do, but also in providing volunteer opportunities for their associates.

“During the annual Volunteer Fair at Ameritas, TeamMates is a popular program, because it so easily fits into the work day,” said Ann Diers, Ameritas vice president and associate general counsel. “Most of our associates find it a great work break to visit their students. That one time a week that makes all the difference!”

TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln makes a meaningful impact in the local community and beyond by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.
