The White Cane Foundation (WCF, www.thewhitecanefoundation.org) was formed in 2019 with the mission of providing two brand new outfits with tennis shoes to students in Title 1 elementary schools. WCF visits schools weekly, providing every identified child with two fittings per school year to accommodate changing seasons and growing children.

They are proud to announce that they will be in 12 schools beginning in Fall 2023, including Belmont, Lakeview, Clinton, Norwood Park, Prescott, McPhee, Everett, West Lincoln and Hartley. New to 2023 is Elliott, Saratoga and Huntington. Some of these schools have limited space for WCF and they just purchased a new truck that will travel to the schools to accomplish this mission with a greater inventory supply.  Each package that a child takes home is called a “bundle of joy” (BOJ). To date, WCF has gifted over 1,500 packages to students. They will more than double that in the 2023-2024 school year with increasing demand.
