As a result of the Friends of Wilderness Park (friendsofwildernesspark.org) members’ generous support, they brought hundreds of people to Wilderness through their hikes, bike rides and volunteer events. They were able to produce new maps to help their friends navigate the 30+ miles of trails in Lincoln’s largest park.
They also negotiated the addition of five acres of woodland to the park system and an additional 17.5 acres of wetland buffer west of the park near 14th and Saltillo St.
Your tax deductible, end-of-the-year donation will help FWP do even more in 2025. Friends of Wilderness Park would like to thank you for your continued support and they can’t wait to see you return in the New Year.
Wilderness Park is the largest park in the community with more than 1,400 acres in southwest Lincoln, seven trailheads and more than 17 miles of dirt hiker/biker/equestrian trails through dense forest, meadows and creek beds. And Friends of Wilderness Park searches for people who love the park as much as they do! Learn more and donate at friendsofwildernesspark.org.
