Hundreds of Nebraska babies will sleep a little easier this month thanks to a generous diaper donation from Huggies. Nebraska Diaper Bank is celebrating a significant milestone alongside the National Diaper Bank Network’s 15th anniversary with 228,739 donated diapers from the baby care brand.
For families across Nebraska, this support provides meaningful relief. Nebraska Diaper Bank distributes more than 300,000 diapers each month to approximately 5,000 babies through community partnerships, helping caregivers meet a basic need that is often overlooked but essential to a child’s health and well-being.
“Diapers are a basic need, yet far too many families struggle to afford enough for their children,” said Anna Lehotyak, Development Director at Nebraska Diaper Bank. “This donation means parents can focus on caring for and bonding with their babies, knowing they have what they need.”
The local donation is part of a larger national effort marking the anniversary of the National Diaper Bank Network. In January, Huggies donated 15 million diapers to the network in just 15 days. As NDBN’s founding sponsor, Huggies has donated more than 20 million diapers annually and, through an expanded partnership, has committed to contributing 75 million diapers over the next three years.
