Vision Maker Media (visionmakermedia.org) and The Ross Media Arts Center Native American Film Series 2024 Present Apache 8, the story of the courageous all-female Apache 8 firefighting unit which has protected their reservation and responded to wildfires around the nation for 30 years. This group, which recently became co-ed, earned the reputation of being fierce, loyal and dependable–and tougher than their male colleagues.

The Native American Film Series features artist profiles, musical performances, family stories and documentaries on historical figures and traditions. Screenings in this monthly series will take place the second Monday of each month in 2024.
The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center brings independent, documentary, international and classic films to Lincoln and the University community.
