Voices of Hope to Host 5th Annual Bowl-a-thon
It is time for Voices of Hope’s (www.voicesofhopelincoln.org) 5th Annual Bowl-a-thon. This year the theme is “Not A Moment To Spare – Together We Can Strike Out Sexual Assault!” The Bowl-a-thon will be held on Saturday, April 16 at Parkway Lanes, 2555 South 48th Street in Lincoln.
The event is held annually to raise funds for services related to victims of sexual assault in conjunction with National Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April. Voices of Hope is Lincoln’s crisis center for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The Bowl-a-thon will be held from 4-6 p.m. at Parkway Lanes. Bowler check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. The cost to participate is $30 per bowler. This includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, a team snack, and a tournament t-shirt for each bowler. Prizes from local businesses will be awarded for the following: best team costume, best team spirit, best team name, highest and lowest team scores, highest and lowest individual scores.
The registration deadline is April 1, 2016. However, individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible as the event has sold out the previous four years.
