The Willard Community Center is welcoming the start of May with two community focused events designed to bring neighbors together while supporting local programs.
The Annual Plant Sale will take place on Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Willard Community Center at 1245 S. Folsom St. Shoppers can browse a variety of porch and house plants, including Boston ferns, English and Swedish ivies, aloe vera,
succulents, and mother of thousands. Proceeds from the sale will directly support Willard’s adult and senior citizen programs, helping fund services and activities that benefit the community.
In addition, the Neighborhood Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center. This event offers an opportunity for community members to shop local while helping neighbors clear out gently used items. Attendees can expect to find a wide assortment of goods, including clothing, toys, home décor, books, furniture, plants, and more.
Community members are encouraged to bring friends, bring cash, and enjoy a day of shopping while supporting both local residents and a meaningful cause.
