Families are invited to enjoy the Fourth of July weekend with the 12th Annual YMCA (YMCALincoln.org) Youth Sports Adventure Run on Saturday, July 6. Hosted at YMCA Wright Park, this event promises to deliver excitement for kids and adults alike, all in the name of a good cause – the YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign.
Throughout a two-mile span, participants will navigate through a series of obstacles including net crawls and mazes, along with a football toss and giant slip ‘n slide. Race proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Annual Fundraising Campaign, ensuring that every child, family and senior has access to life-changing programs at the Lincoln Y, including Youth Sports.
“We invite families to come out and join us for a morning of healthy, fun activities,” shared Todd Johnson, Executive Director of YMCA Youth Sports. “By participating, not only are families embracing wellness together, but they are making a meaningful difference in our community by empowering access to vital YMCA programs such as swim lessons, baseball leagues, and day camps.”
Wave start times will begin at 9:00am, 9:45am and 10:30am, with a cap of 100 participants per time slot. Registration is open online at YMCALincoln.org and includes a commemorative t-shirt with the race fee of $18. Registrations will be accepted after the June 21 deadline, however availability of t-shirts on the day of race are not guaranteed.
