Capital Cigar Lounge (capitalcigar.com) has welcomed Abby Rose as its new Assistant Bar Manager. Abby brings nearly seven years of experience in the bar industry, with a background rooted in leadership, team development, and elevated cocktail programs.
In her new role, Abby will lead the implementation of new bar initiatives and cocktail recipes designed to enhance Capital Cigar Lounge’s product and service offerings. She will also focus on bartender training, emphasizing best practices, consistency, and the use of high-quality ingredients— supporting the lounge’s continued growth and commitment to guest experience.
“I kicked off my journey in dive bars at the age of 21 and quickly fell in love with the art of bartending, realizing I wanted to take this career path seriously,” said Abby. “My adventure led me to music venues, where I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the bar manager at Bourbon Theatre in Lincoln for two years. This role taught me invaluable skills in managing a team, orchestrating large-scale events, and leading a dynamic group of over 25 bartenders.”
Abby’s approach to bartending evolved significantly during her time at The Wicked Rabbit in Omaha. Known as one of the city’s most coveted speakeasy-style craft cocktail bars, the experience challenged her to rethink everything from ingredient selection to presentation and service, reinforcing how attention to small details can completely transform the guest experience.
